“Best known for his hit single “Because I Got High,” Afroman, 40, was performing in Biloxi, Mississippi, Tuesday night when he threw a hard punch at a woman who had jumped onstage.

According to TMZ, the rapper continued performing until cops eventually stopped the show and booked him for assault. He was later released on a $330 bond.

A day later, Afroman went on TMZ Live to issue a formal apology for the incident.

He also claims a man was heckling him from the side of the stage during his performance. When he threw the punch, he assumed it was that same guy.”

  1. I think you miss the fact that the woman had no business being on stage. Sure, the punch is hard and unnecessarily hard but that woman was practically trespassing on the stage. Can we also stop equating any punch/kick to “assault”, please? The woman was wrong for being on stage and Afroman was wrong to just blindly clock her. Both were dumb.
