TYT’s Eric Byler (htp://Twitter.com/EricByler) takes you behind the scenes of the counter-sting operation that exposed James O’Keefe, Allison Maass and their propaganda outlet, Project Veritas. Video and audio catch Maass offering to pay money for the incitement of riots at Donald Trump’s inauguration.

  1. WOW! I missed this development in TYT’s history.
It’s the 2013 era when they were still at Current TV in its waning days.
I wasn’t watching as much back then.

So this TYT Investigates thing is not new.
I type the phrase into search & find a YouTube channel with user named ‘TYTInvestigates’ hosting a show called The Undercurrent.
    I’m like WHAT?!

Then I looked at the About page & I’m seeing someone named Lauren Windsor (who also goes by the name Lady Libertine) as the host of the channel.
I’m like ‘Is this a mistake?’ Or ‘Did TYT give her their channel to use?’
I go to the Videos tab & select for Date Added (Oldest) to see the first videos.
At first I didn’t see the TYT connection but THEN I saw that famous little glass desk from the Current era in one of the video thumbnails.
I said ‘yep, they know each other.’ And NOW I know why it was called The UnderCURRENT.

So then I was like how did I not know TYT had an investigative channel before??
It’s not even in their related channels!
THEN I scroll down my search results & see a story from New Media Rockstars from May 20, 2013 saying “TYT Networks Launches New ‘TYT Investigates’ YouTube Channel”.
That very channel titled with ‘The Undercurrent’ as its name has ‘Joined March 1, 2013’ on its About page.
So they had been preparing it for some time.
But I see the very first video with Lauren Windsor holding a clunky TYT Network mic titled “Gunning for the NRA” posted March 21, 2013.

So it’s obvious they were together from the start & Lauren Windsor was part of The Young Turks.
This original 2013 TYT Investigates project—obviously retitled The Undercurrent for marketing reasons—was a partnership between TYT & the Center for Investigative Reporters to do hardnosed journalism with longform reports.
I then type in “tyt investigates 2013” into my search & see Cenk with a May 21, 2013 tweet on the May 20, 2013 announcement of the new TYT channel from New Media Rockstars.
Then I type in “lauren windsor tyt” & not long later I see an old May 29, 2013 tweet from Steve Oh with a picture of Mark Register, the mysterious ABCNT, Lauren Windsor, Dave Koller, Tim Collins, & Kim Horcher in a work station area.
There it is. The connection is fully confirmed.
    https://twitter.com/stevenoh88/status/339884720018051072

Then I type in “tyt investigates the undercurrent” to find more connections between the 2 entities & stumble upon this story!
Most of my results showed videos from The Young Turks main channel from 2013 with The Undercurrent being promoted as early as January 2013 but then there was this post here from January 2017!
I read the Discussion tab on The Undercurrent YouTube page when a viewer asked if she was still working for TYT & she said she no longer works for TYT. Not sure when they parted ways.
But this post obviously shows that they only parted ways in employment!
They are STILL affiliated with each other & that’s COOL!

As I type this message I’m digging up more old stuff & found out through YouTube search that The Undercurrent started being posted on TYT’s main channel on October 25, 2012.
So it has been a show already & was spun off into its own unique channel!
Much like many shows in TYT’s history.
So this means that Jordan Chariton is not REALLY TYT’s 1st Investigative Reporter…
…Lauren Windsor is! And she’s STILL at work getting the scoops as we see with this bust of James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas outfit. Lady Libertine still kicks it with Rebel HQ even here in 2017.

But then if this is the case, then why isn’t Lauren Windsor officially with TYT doing investigative journalism?
ESPECIALLY with all the reporters & commentators they added with the Watchers on the Wall campaign?
Well, this may partially explain why the Undercurrent went underground not too long after Current TV went aground in the middle of 2013.
Michael Hastings. The Murder of Michael Hastings.
Michael Hastings blew up in that car on June 18, 2013…
…because his scoop was too juicy for The Powers That Be™.
Cenk & Michael Hastings had contact with each other in interviews & he appeared on TYT times before.
They were friends & allies in the Progressive Movement.
A combination of that obviously suspicious death & TYT’s sudden lack of a home when Current TV went off air must have forced TYT to downplay promotion of their original investigative channel.

That original TYTInvestigates channel ‘The Undercurrent’ only has 10,257 subscribers at the time of this writing.
Lauren still puts out videos but I’m not sure many see them with that low audience count.
But she seems to be involved in some key organizations that I hope gets her & her team’s footage out.
I hope the new TYT Investigates channel as well as the existing TYT Politics channel keep making contact with the ORIGINAL TYT Investigator, The Undercurrent from Lauren Windsor.
I have a feeling that the latest Democratic Party threats & intimidation to Nomiki Konst will compel some serious investigative work.
