What I would like to see is a health initiative to measure lead in specific individuals. These mothers can, at the very least, get their kids chelation treatment to remove whatever lead is already in their tissues. Done primarily by naturopaths, but can be done by regular physicians too. This should be a normal part of preventative health and should be covered.
